Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is natively supported in Windows 7. When you connect to a wireless router or access point that supports WPS, Windows will prompt you to enter the security key or push the button on the router (or AP). Once you press the WPS button on the router, the security settings will be securely transferred and saved, and you’ll be connected.
Some routers or APs may support WPS but might not have a physical button on itself. In this case, you’d have to bring up the web-based control panel of the router on another PC and click the button on the WPS page.
