CPNI’s Warning, Advice and Reporting Points

The British Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) provides a community-based service about security incidents, threats and solutions known as the WARP (Warning, Advice, and Reporting Points) program. Apart from the WARP program, CPNI provides protective security advice to businesses and organisations across the national infrastructure. The national infrastructure comprises the facilities, systems, sites and networks necessary for the delivery of the essential services upon which daily life in the UK depends.

Members of the WARP program can benefit from a trusted mechanism for sharing security incidents, get notifications about vulnerabilities and threats relevant to their own systems, and get expert advice from the community. In my opinion, the number one benefit of WARP is that members are getting almost real-time warnings of threats, incidents and solutions relevant to their business or interest. Members can join communities relevant to their needs such as, sector, location or organization size.
