Based on the FUD I hear in the field around messages is routed via US for EMEA based tenants, the “EOP Overview” section should be of special interest.
-
Configure the Outbound Spam Policy: We added that the first notification specified will be sent as a Bcc address. Thanks for the feedback!
-
Manage Mail Users in EOP: Check out the “Use the EAC to manage mail users” section; you can now add users and groups directly into the Exchange admin center (EAC).
-
Manage Groups in EOP: There’s a new UI for creating group memberships directly in the EAC.
-
PowerShell in Exchange Online Protection: Remote PowerShell access is now available for EOP standalone customers (minus the capability for adding users and groups, which is on the roadmap for being added next quarter). Key topics are Connect to Exchange Online Protection Using Remote PowerShell and of course documentation for all the individual Exchange Online Protection Cmdlets.
-
Office 365 Message Encryption: The new version of Exchange Hosted Encryption (EHE) is now available! Also, the EHE Upgrade Center will help customers transition to the new encryption service.
-
Use Directory Based Edge Blocking to Reject Messages Sent to Invalid Recipients: The much sought after DBEB feature is now available!
-
EOP Overview: We added the “EOP data centers” section to this topic. We received several requests for this type of info so thanks for letting us know!
-
Related: We also added the “Data center mail routing by geographic region” item to the FOPE vs. EOP Feature Comparison table, and updated the roadmap for some of the features that are being pushed into the next quarter.

Reporting and Message Trace in Exchange Online Protection: We added the “Reporting and message trace data availability and latency” section, so we now have a single source of info for referencing when reporting/message trace data will be available and for how long.
Until later,
