Exchange 2007 and the Pickup directory

The Pickup directory is created on every Exchange 2007 computer on which you deploy either the Hub Transport server role or the Edge Transport server role. When you copy correctly formatted e-mail message files in that Pickup directory thay will be submitted instantly for delivery. The Pickup directory can be very useful for you to test mail flow, or for any application that requires the ability to submit messages via Exchange.
To configure an e-mail to make sure it will be processed and delivered, you need to format it according to the settings given in Request for Comments (RFC)-822.

If you save the following lines as a .eml file, and put in the Pickup directory, your mail will be delivered 🙂
