Free Tool: HyperV_Mon 1.8 released

Tim Mangan has released an update to his free tool called HyperV_Mon. The purpose of HyperV_Mon is to give you a better understanding of performance on your hardware, root partition, and guests on Microsoft Hyper-V in a graphical manner. As Tim puts it “…you can’t trust the Windows Task Manager from inside the VMs to tell you squat.” That is because the Windows Task Manager inside a VM no longer has access to a HAL that has access to the hardware. Instead the VM has access to a HAL that then has access to a hypervisor that then has access to the hardware. So, task manager may tell you everything is okay on a VM when it really isn’t.
