A team of security experts from France managed to hack Google’s Chrome during the first five minutes of this year’s Pwn2Own contest. The team from the French company VUPEN that is a leading provider of defensive and offensive cyber security intelligence and advanced vulnerability research had actually discovered the exploit some time ago! The exploit relies on undisclosed (0day) vulnerabilities and it works on all Windows systems (32-bit and x64).
See the exploit in action with a default installation of Google Chrome v11.0.696.65 on Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (x64) here – http://www.vupen.com/demos/VUPEN_Pwning_Chrome.php
