Majority of USB modems and SIM cards are exploitable

Well, that’s not good. Recent conferences have provided details on how to compromise USB modems and attack SIM cards via SMS over 4G networks, giving the attackers full access to the devices, including access to subscriber accounts. Ouch. The vast majority of devices and firmware tested were vulnerable.
