Doing research/work in malware analysis can be a lot of fun. Furthermore, it can also be a very useful skill to have, and bring to a prospective employer. There is a a loose set of steps to take when doing this type of analysis. To get the useful info from this you need to be familiar with a variety of tools, and realistically have some programming knowledge. I will touch on this in my next blog post.
