Microsoft and Facebook reward bug hunters in non-vendor-specific program

There are plenty of “bug bounty hunt” programs out there, sponsored by various software vendors, but most of them (not surprisingly) focus on the sponsoring vendor’s products. The Internet Bug Bounty program being launched by Microsoft and Facebook, however, covers many different technologies, including Python, Perl, PHP and sandbox technologies in different vendors’ products. There are also two separate rewards for each flaw: one for finding it and one for fixing it.
