Using nameresolver and tcpping tools to manage Azure web apps

When managing web apps in Microsoft Azure, there are two tools that must be part of your toolbox when performing troubleshooting. The first one is nameresolver, which tests the DNS resolution on any given name being used by the web app. The second one is tcpdump host:port, which allows us to test the web app connectivity.

If you can resolve names and connect to the ports, that helps a lot when troubleshooting your web applications.
