NAT-PMP is often improperly configured on SOHO networks, and senior security researcher Jon Hart recommends that enterprises block its traffic if they have workers connecting remotely with SOHO networking equipment. Five classes of vulnerabilities are identified that can pose a risk to an estimated 1.2 million devices.
