Office 365 has datacenters around the world, which help keep the service up and running even when there’s a major problem in one region, like an earthquake or a power outage. How can you tell which datacenter you’re connecting to when you read email or open a Word doc in the cloud? It depends. We want to get content to users quickly while balancing overall performance, so we use a combination of factors to determine which datacenter is used.
