As hot topics come up in the news, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) seems to be the Holy Grail for a lot of organizations. With promises to cut costs, enable all kinds of heretofore unheard of mobility options and drive user productivity to heights unmatched in any previous technology implementation, VDI promises abound, but I wonder how many organizations are really working to capitalize on the hype.
My question to you is this: How much, if any, of your physical desktop environment have you shifted over to VDI?
I’ve created a poll in the virtualizationadmin.com forums with this question. I’d also love it if you could leave a note with your thoughts on the VDI topic or a description of any VDI efforts underway in your company.
I look forward to hearing from you!
