Data care technology provider Stellar has announced the latest version of its Stellar Repair for Exchange software. Stellar Repair for Exchange v10 includes a number of new and augmented features and is compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 and older versions. Stellar says the software also “helps migrate from on-premises to live Exchange environments.”
As every Exchange admin knows, nothing spoils a day like a corrupt Exchange database. Getting it repaired and getting everything back up and running often takes hours — if the problem can be fixed at all without a major rebuild. Stellar says Stellar Repair for Exchange v10 will “perform critical database recovery quickly” and reduce downtime.
With the recent Microsoft Exchange Server hack still fresh on everyone’s mind, Stellar says the new version of Stellar Repair for Exchange can help repair damage “even when database damage is caused due to server hacking.” Additionally, v10 has augmented its repair capability for all-too-common database problems such as a server crash, dirty shutdown, and failure to mount.
Other improved features in this new version allow for the recovery of mailboxes from very large-sized Exchange database (EDB) files while preserving the integrity of the data. Stellar Repair for Exchange v10 also includes prioritized mailbox recovery, which means an Exchange admin can easily retrieve mailboxes on user-defined queues. Stellar says this feature ensures that admins can “reinstate minimum levels quickly to sustain business communication in complex downtime situations.”
And you won’t be flying blind as you attempt to restore your problematic databases. You can see a preview of the data before you decide to restore it, and you can do a selective recovery of specific mailboxes, which should get things fixed faster and reduce downtime. You can export repaired Exchange database files to your on-premises Exchange Server or to Microsoft Office 365.
