Wayne Berke has written a freeware Windows NT registry tool, regutil, which has features:
- dumps any subtree of the registry to a file in human-readable, text format
- supports all important value types including binary and multi-string
- loads keys and values from a dump text file to any branch of a local or
remote registry
- merges keys and values from a dump text file into an existing subtree of a
local or remote registry
- removes an entire registry subtree in a local or remote registry
- clones a local registry subtree to the same path in a remote registry
(similar to rdist -r for registry keys and values)
- load, merge, remove, and clone operations allow you to specify either a
single target PC or a file with a list of PCs, all of which will be updated
