A researcher at Synack says an attacker could use Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) to get around Apple’s Gatekeeper, a security mechanism that is built into OS X Mountain Lion and later. DLL hijacking is a method of attack that has been used in the past against Windows operating systems.
