Compromised search results and online ads from infected computers generated a good deal of revenue for seven hackers. The attorney’s office in New York calls the fraud scheme as massive and sophisticated. While, six men from Eastern Europe are under arrest, one is still at large. Over a period of 4 years, the malware infected four million computers and legitimate online advertisements on websites like ESPN and The Wall Street Journal were targeted on infected computers.
