The concern is that Lenovo’s largest shareholder is a company that’s owned by the Chinese government, and there are reports that “back doors” have been found in some Lenovo systems that would allow remote access without users’ knowledge. This apparently has led to a ban on the brand for sensitive work by the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
