The Case of the Disapearing Lync 2013 Visio Stencil

You may have noticed that some time ago there were some news about the release of the Lync 2013 Visio stencil, but if you tried to follow the links you would be taken to a “Page Not Found” at the Microsoft site. That’s because the stencil was released too soon without all the proper approvals.

Recently Microsoft finally made available not only the Lync 2013 stencil, but also the ones for Exchange 2013 and SharePoint 2013. Meet the New Office Visio Stencil.

Brief Description
This stencil contains more than 300 icons to help you create visual representations of your Microsoft Office and Exchange Server architecture.

Overview
Creating visual representations of your Microsoft Office and Exchange Server architecture is a helpful way to communicate your deployment. This Visio stencil provides more than 300 icons — many depicting servers, applications, and services — that you can use in architecture diagrams, charts, and posters. These icons are primarily centered around Lync, SharePoint, and Exchange technologies and features.

There is also a Wiki page with links to the various posters and Visio stencils that exist for Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013: Exchange Posters, Visio Stencils, and More.
