The Stabuniq Trojan was discovered by Symantec almost a year ago, and as it has spread, it appears to be targeting banks and credit unions in the U.S., with almost 40 percent of the infected machines belonging to financial institutions. It apparently only affects older machines, such as those running Windows NT and Windows XP/2000 – yet another good reason to upgrade to a newer and more secure operating system if your network still supports older operating systems.
