Twitter to step up security

More and more companies are taking advantage of social networking technologies to spread the word about their products and services, and Twitter is one of the most popular. But there have been big concerns about the mini-blogging site’s security after some well publicized security breaches last year, and the FCC has been investigating.

Twitter is to form an independently audited information security program and will be required to more accurately disclose its security and privacy policies and practices. This might make the service more attractive to business.
