According to reports released by Q-CERT a known “ransomware” Trojan is targeting Qatar Users by using the victims webcams. Q-CERT has released a detailed advisory.
The reported cases in Qatar are all using the same malware family known as “Urausy”, which is actively targeting Windows platform in the Middle East, with reported cases in UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Palestine…etc
