Here’s a tip from my colleague Ed Wilson (the Microsoft Scripting Guy) about how to use PowerShell to find your physical network adapter.
Question: You want to find information about only your physical network adapter. How can you do this?
Answer: On Windows 8.1 using Windows PowerShell 4.0 add the –physical switch to your Get-NetAdapter command. This command appears here:
Get-NetAdapter -Physical
