What’s new in Lync 2010 Server

I’m working on an article series about Lync Server for Exchange Server this week and I hope to start publishing the series on February. Is it going to be bigger than OCS 2007 R2 integration, I’m afraid so.. 🙂

By the way, this video from TechNet Edge the Microsoft folks talk about some of the new feature of Lync Server 2010.

I recently sat down with Srikanth to talk about what’s new in Lync 2010 on the server side.
The answer: quite a bit. In addition to some really enhanced work on voice (yeah, you can replace your PBX now), the team spent a lot of time working on the admin and deployment experience with Lync. He explained a bit about how the new planning tool works, the central store for configuration and deployment, and the new Lync Server Control Panel.
