Windows Server 2022 Summit: How to attend this free Microsoft online event

Any IT pro who has been working in technology for 10 years or more remembers when a new release of Windows Server was a major event. The hype and anticipation were almost as great as before a major release of Windows. But the tech universe is different — it is a cloud-centric world now. Still, the release of Windows Server 2022 is a big deal for many and a bigger deal than many others think it is. And that’s why you should think about attending Microsoft’s free Windows Server 2022 Summit.

Microsoft promises that the event, which will be held online Thursday, Sept. 16, 1-2:30 p.m. Eastern Time, will deliver a “first-look deep-dive at Windows Server 2022.” It will primarily focus on the three core areas of the product: Windows Server, Windows Server on Azure, and Hybrid.

So, what can Windows Server 2022 do for you?

Liam Sosinsky, Microsoft’s product marketing manager, says the investments Microsoft has made in Windows Server 2022 give it the power to “make modernizing your IT environment and simplifying management easier than ever.”

Windows Server 2022 Summit will be interactive. You can get your questions answered live by Microsoft specialists and Azure product managers.

The agenda for the summit includes a session with Jeff Woolsey, Windows Server principal program manager, who will give you a detailed look under the hood and tell you why the platform has so much potential for developers and IT pros and how they can leverage Windows Server 2022 for their on-premises, cloud, and edge needs.

There will also be sessions focused on Azure for multicloud, Azure Stack HCI (Microsoft’s hyperconverged infrastructure operating system), containers and Kubernetes, updates on System Center and Windows Admin Center, and several others.
