You cannot specify a path statement that ends in a wildcard character when you create a Web publishing rule in ISA Server 2004

In Microsoft ISA Server 2000, you can use the wildcard character at the end of a path statement for a Web Publishing Rule.

For example, the path statement folder* can indicate all the following paths in ISA Server 2000:
foldere/
folder/
folder1.htm

In ISA 2004, you have to add a /* to use the wildcard character, but it doesn’t provide the same functionality.

KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900919/en-us indicates that there is a hotfix available for this problem. You might think that the hotfix pack at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916106/en-us would fix this problem, but it won’t, because the fix is in the msfpccom and msfpcsnp.dll files.

For more information on this problem, check out the KB article at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900919/en-us
