VMworld Europe 2014 is taking place currently in Barcelona this week. While I’m not there this week I’ve been doing a bit of reading about it. I’ve heard that the keynotes are actually much better than they were in San Francisco, with more of a logical order. There’s also a huge concentration on cloud. VMware announced they would be opening a vCloud Air data center in Germany. The vRealize Suite was also a major concentration, which is essentially vC Ops and vCAC in the cloud.
VMware vRealize Air Compliance seems to be a pretty interesting solution, which provides automated compliance checks for cloud based (vCloud Air) systems. It reminds me a bit of vCenter Configuration Manager. If it’s easier to manage than vCM I like the idea of it. To learn more about Air Compliance, check out the website here.
