When you publish a Web site through the 2006 ISA firewall, you have the option to create a Deny rule that redirects users to another site. Behind the scenes the ISA firewall sends an HTTP 302 redirect to the client, indicating that the redirected URL is a temporary location.
However, some firewall administrators want to send an HTTP 301 response instead of HTTP 302 response because they want to communicate a permanent move.
