The European Union through its Network and Information Security Agency ENISA together with the majority of member states simulated a large scale cyber-attack exercise on the 4th of October. Governments, businesses and ISPs (internet service providers) were faced with 1,200 separate incidents during a simulated DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack. The objectives were to improve coordination and cooperation between all stakeholders during large scale cyber crisis.
