Go Daddy has become the world’s largest domain registrar, thanks to prices that are well user those of some of the other “big name” registrars. I’ve used their services myself. As Microsoft can attest and as Apple and Android are beginning to realize, being on top makes you a top target, too. Cybercriminals (some of them apparently from Russia) have targeted Go Daddy hosted sites by hacking DNS records, and users’ computers are getting infected with malware as a result. If your organization uses Go Daddy services, you might want to check your DNS configuration, although Go Daddy has taken steps to address the problem.
