On May 1st John Chambers, current CEO of Cisco, announced Chuck Robbins will be taking over his role as CEO. Robbins has been at Cisco for almost 20 years in somewhat of a sales role. Chambers isn’t going far as he is now a member of the board at Cisco. As of July of 2015 he will be Executive Chairman of the board of directors. Some believe he will still have a very hands-on role at Cisco, which isn’t a bad thing as it’s become a multi-billion dollar company under Chambers’ twenty year reign.
