Heartbleed Extensions for Firefox & Chrome browsers

Want to DETECT websites that are vulnerable install this  Firefox plug-in and GREEN is GOOD, RED is BAD. It places a small bleeding heart icon in the browser menu bar. When you go to a website, the heart icon shows green for a site that is “safe”, red for a site still vulnerable to the bug, and yellow for possibly vulnerable.

The extension for Firefox is available here.

Chromebleed uses a web service developed by Filippo Valsorda and checks the URL of the page you have just loaded. If it is affected by Heartbleed, then a Chrome notification will be displayed. A bleeding heart icon is placed in the browser menu bar. If you go to an unpatched site, a popup warning will appear. Popups also show indicating some sites as “safe”.

The extension for Chrome is available here.
