UAG 2010 Beta and Exchange Publishing

image I hope that you’re UAG testing is going well and that so far you like what you see with the UAG 2010 Beta. I’ve been able to do a little work on my UAG testing, but not nearly as much as I’d like – my “day job” is taking up a lot of time, but I still try to get a few minutes in every day with UAG and TMG betas.

Like the advertisements we see everyday say, we’re all trying to do more with less – trying to learn about more products with less time 🙂

One of the primary UAG scenarios is Exchange publishing. If you’ve done Exchange publishing with TMG or ISA, you know how easy it is to get it done with those products. It’s even easier with the UAG 2010 Beta.

However, there are a few decisions that you need to make before you begin publishing Exchange:

  • Should you use a dedicated mail trunk or make Exchange available through a portal
  • Which Exchange Web services should be available to the users
  • What authentication protocols and providers will you use
