There are two ways you can update the TMG firewall, along with Web anti-malware and Network Inspection System signatures:
- Microsoft Update
- Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
The first way is easy and works right out of the box. There’s not much you have to do to be MS Update to work other than telling the Update Center in the TMG Firewall console to use MS Update.
WSUS is a lot more complicated. Well, complicated is sort of a harsh word – let’s just say that there are a few things you need to do on the TMG firewall to get it working.
