VMware last week released an update for vCenter labeled vCenter Server 5.0 Update 1b, which contains a number of fixes and improvements.
Database changes:
- Most notably, 1b adds support for the Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Standard ONE Edition Release 2 [11.2.0.3] – 32- and 64-bit database product.
- For vCenter Appliance, VMware no longer includes DB2 Express. DB2 Express has been replaced by the VMware vPostgres database.
vSphere version support:
