But with what do you replace them? Smart cards get lost or stolen, biometrics are intrusive and technologies such as facial recognition or voice pattern analysis aren’t at the point where they can be implemented on a wide scaled basis with confidence.
Google is investigating hardware authentication options, including a USB token system and, perhaps more interesting (and certainly more convenient) a system that would be installed on your cell phone or embedded in a ring or other jewelry. Read more:
