Windows Hello – by which I can log onto my Surface Pro 4 by simply looking at my screen – is one of my favorite things about Windows 10. You don’t realize how much of a pain it really is to have to type in your user name and (strong, thus long and complex) password every time you come back to your desk from getting a cup of coffee, until you don’t have to do it anymore.
Now there are reports that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 – which will be my next phone in a long series of Notes – is going to have facial rec authentication, too. This will be even more useful on a phone, where typing that long password without a full sized ergo keyboard is even more cumbersome.
The speculation is based on a patent filing, so it’s by no means a sure thing, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Read more here:
