Here’s a tip from my colleague Ed Wilson (the Microsoft Scripting Guy) about how to use PowerShell to XXXXXXXXXX.
Question: You want to see which physical network adapters are up on your Windows 8.1 computer using Windows PowerShell. How can you do this?
Answer: Use the –physical parameter with the Get-NetAdapter function and filter for a status of up. This technique appears here:
Get-NetAdapter -physical | where status -eq ‘up’
