Network Engines Names Hugh Kelly as New Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

CANTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–June 26, 2006–Network Engines, Inc. (NASDAQ: NENG), a leading appliance partner for Microsoft(R) security solutions, today announced the appointment of Hugh Kelly to the position of Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Bringing more than two decades of experience in IP network technology markets, Kelly will report to Greg Shortell, president and CEO of Network Engines and direct the company’s activities in ISV and systems integrator partnering, channel development, and global growth initiatives.

Kelly previously held the role of CEO and co-founder of West Ridge Networks, a telecommunications management software start-up and the innovator of SQMworks. SQMworks is a leading IP-based network management and Quality of Service solution for the telecommunications industry.

Prior to his work at West Ridge Networks, Kelly served as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Celox Networks where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing for highly scaleable edge routers targeted at Tier 1 carriers. He came to Celox, from Visual Networks, where he was Vice President, Marketing.

Majoring in Economics, Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Linfield College in Oregon. He also holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
