You can copy an MDT 2010 deployment share from your lab environment to your production environment, but if you do this you need to make a few changes in the production version afterwards. Specifically:
- Change the DeployRoot setting in the bootstrap.ini file.
- Change the UserID, UserDomain and UserPassword settings (if used) in the bootstrap.ini file.
- Change the domain join settings in the customsettings.ini file if your production and lab networks are in different domains.
- Then regenerate your Lite Touch boot images (this must be done whenever you change bootstrap.ini settings).
