Don’t depend on browser warnings to protect users

The study, from the University of California at Berkeley, found that many users generally ignore security warnings from web browsers and click on through to the sites. Click through rates for phishing and malware warnings ranged from 18 (phishing) and 23.2 (malware) percent for Chrome and a whopping 31.6 percent for Firefox SSL warnings.
