I came across this free tool the other day that allows you to snapshot a VM running on Hyper-V from the VM itself. Kalle Saunamäki (http://blog.gridmetric.com) wrote the tool to address Microsoft App-V sequencing on a laptop, but this tool can be used in several different scenarios. Michel Roth wrote up a really great article detailing the setup and put together some screen shots of the tool. Go check it out and download it for free!
