Most Trusted vs. Most Secure

In doing research for a recent article, I ran across some interesting finds. A poll done by NakedSecurity (Sophos) showed that Mozilla Firefox is the most trusted web browser, by far, among the site’s readers (who presumably know something about security):

However, a recent study from NSS labs, a reputable security research company, indicates that trust is misplaced. Their testing showed that Internet Explorer 10 and Chrome were far superior to their major browser rivals (Firefox, Safari and Opera):
