Project Zero is about a group of security researchers hired by Google to track down bugs like Heartbleed and do something about them before they can be exploited to do widespread damage. Their stated goal is not quite as lofty as it appears at first glance – realistically, the company knows it can’t “fix the Internet,” but aims to “significantly reduce the number of people harmed by targeted attacks.”
