Changing Permissions on Objects in Exchange

It may come as quite a shock when you go to change the permissions on various exchange objects and find that you can’t. This is because there is no security tab available to modify on these objects. This can be changed with a quick registry edit.

Open the registry editor and browse to HKCU\Software\ Microsoft\Exchange\ExAdmin. Create a DWORD value called ShowSecurityPage and set its value to 1. After you make this change you will need to close and reopen Exchange System Manager.

Remember, any time you modify the registry on a production server it is a good idea to make sure you have a good backup in hand.
