Designing a virtual desktop architecture can be a daunting task. There are sizing considerations, geographies, best practices to follow, deployment models, etc. Citrix has made strides in easing these burdens with the release of Citrix Project Accelerator Beta. This accelerator is a web-based application that is wizard-driven to help you asses, design, and deploy your architecture. Just answer the questions and let the accelerator give you a start in designing and documenting a reference architecture tailored to your environment. This is a really cool start and it looks like there are several other features planned for a future release including collaboration with others. Best of all, it is free!
