Practicing what is a fast growing area of computer security, that of computer forensics, is often too dumbed down sadly. Courses offered by leading vendors of computer forensics software often don’t stress enough the importance of knowing operating system low level details. That plus hardware details like how a hard drive works and is built. One should really learn how the hardware of a computer can affect computer forensics. Do any of you have any thoughts on this?
