Dell root certificate update: Microsoft rides to the rescue

We reported a couple of days ago that first one and then another root certificate installed on some Dell computers could be exploited by attackers. Windows computer users who run Windows Defender will be glad to know that Microsoft announced that its free anti-malware tool that comes with modern versions of Windows will tag and remove both of the dangerous certificates and will also get rid of the plugin that reinstalls the certificates when you manually remove them.
