Disabling activation pop-ups in demo environments

If you've ever set up a demo environment with Windows Vista or later and then used it for any length of time, you'll see annoying pop-up messages saying that Windows needs to be activated. If non-techies are using your demos, they may get confused by such notifications. Fortunately there's a way of disabling these notifications. Just open Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Activation

Under this key you'll find a REG_DWORD value named NotificationDisabled which you can set to equal 1 in order to disable all activation notices.
