Finding High Item Count Folders Using the Exchange Management Shell

Hello folks,

MSExchangeTeam has blogged a script to count the number of items per folder on Exchange 2007 and our newest friend Exchange Server 2010!

A excessive number of messages in a folder may cause performance issues in your environment. The author of the post explains in detail the script and also give us a table with a recomendation for each exchange server version.

Version	Folder Item Limit
Exchange 2000/2003	5,000
Exchange 2007	20,000
Exchange 2010	100,000
